An advocacy campaign to increase support for people living with chronic life-changing voice disorders.

In Australia there is no financial support under the Disabilities Act, nor is there any requirement for workplaces to make ‘reasonable adjustments’ to allow people to remain employed.
In addition – unlike vision and hearing – there is no funding for research into causes, early diagnosis or management of chronic voice loss. We want to change that. So:
This campaign will ask Members of Parliament to consider a day in the life of a politician who cannot speak up on behalf of their constituents, or debate issues in the home of Australian democracy while promoting World Voice Day.
