Music PEI Press Conference to announce the Bell Aliant  1st Canadian Song Conference

Rob Oakie Executive Director of Music PEI, will announce  details of the first Bell Aliant Canadian Song Conference that will take place in Charlottetown,  May 11 – 14, 2015. The conference will include panels, workshops and top industry professionals from across Canada and beyond, discussing the creation, performance, and business of song writing.  Submissions are open for the Canadian songwriter challenge.

Announcements will also be made about the Credit Union May Run Music Festival  May 15 – 17,  which will include the AIRS (Advancing Interdisciplinary Research in Singing) Songwriters Concert, May 15th, about which more information will be provided by Ross Dwyer, AIRS Administrative Assistant.

World Voice Day will be highlighted at the Press Conference. All of these celebrated coming events rely on the human voice.

Music PEI and AIRS have partnered on various events related to singing, song writing and songwriters over the last 6 years.
