April 16, 2024, is World Voice Day. To welcome this special day, the Voice Center of the Fourth Affiliated Hospital of Soochow University has held two wonderful activities.
Firstly, the center held a popular science lecture titled “Voice Rehabilitation of Vocal Cord Fixation”. The lecture detailed the vocal cord fixed hoarseness caused by common causes such as vocal cord palsy and cricothyroid joint dislocation, and provided a comprehensive popular science from the aspects of etiology and treatment recommendations.
In addition, the Voice Center also published an introduction to the use of the voice examination equipment – dynamic stroboscopic laryngoscope on the official public account of the Fourth Affiliated Hospital of Soochow University. The content is easy to understand, providing the general public with a popular science on the examination methods for common voice problems, and when to use the dynamic stroboscopic laryngoscope for examination, etc. This helps patients initially understand the prevention and diagnosis and treatment of professional voice problems.
These two activities not only provide valuable information for patients, but also show the professional strength and sense of social responsibility of the Voice Center of the Fourth Affiliated Hospital of Soochow University in the field of voice.
