Voice & Hormones: Understanding the Impact of Sex Steroid Hormones on the Female Voice

Join us for a powerful and insightful 2-hour online seminar designed for
voice therapists, singing teachers, professional voice users, and women aged 40–60
who want to better understand the interplay between hormones and the voice.

This workshop explores how sex steroid hormones — particularly estrogen, progesterone, and testosterone — influence both the speaking and singing voice across different stages of reproductive life.
We’ll dive deep into the vocal effects of the menstrual cycle, pregnancy, and menopause, offering a clear overview of the hormonal changes and how they may manifest in the voice.

Participants will gain valuable knowledge on:

Hormonal fluctuations and their acoustic and physiological effects on the voice

Voice changes before, during, and after menopause

Strategies for supporting vocal health during perimenopause and postmenopause

The impact of pregnancy hormones on vocal function and vocal fold tissue

Voice care strategies tailored to hormonally active stages

Evidence-based insights for professionals working with female voice users

Whether you’re working with clients navigating hormonal transitions or you’re experiencing them yourself, this seminar will equip you with knowledge, language, and tools to better understand and support the female voice across the lifespan.
