On World Voice Day 2025, Dr. Ma Yulong, Deputy Director of the Otolaryngology Voice Center at the Fourth Affiliated Hospital of Soochow University (Dushu Lake Hospital, Suzhou), actively carried out various voice protection and voice disease popularization activities to promote people’s attention to voice health.
Firstly, I participated in a special program on World Voice Day on the news channel of Suzhou Radio Station, titled “Protecting the ‘Golden Voice’ of the Workplace”. I explained to the audience the symptoms and diagnosis of daily voice diseases, and shared good methods for voice protection.
Secondly, Director Ma Yulong also accepted an interview with Suzhou official media “Watch Suzhou” to explain the characteristics of vocal cord inflammation, cases that are prone to misdiagnosis, especially the necessity of timely diagnosis and treatment for professional voice users such as anchors and singers who encounter vocal cord inflammation, and the vocal cord damage that may occur if treatment is delayed. Call on everyone to use sound scientifically and unleash the vitality of their voice!
