Details of your World Voice Day Event | As part of the “World Voice Day celebration” on 15th April 2025, the Department of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology at Amity University, Haryana organized an invited talk titled “Singers in the Voice Clinic: Distinguishing Technical from Functional Issues.” The event was held in the Lecture Theatre Room, D Block (4th Floor), and aimed to raise awareness about the importance of vocal health, particularly in the context of professional voice users such as singers. The session was delivered by Dr. Theodora Ivanova Nestorova, Assistant Professor of Voice and Dysphagia at Viterbo University, USA. As a renowned voice researcher and pedagogue, Dr. Nestorova provided valuable insights into differentiating technical vocal inefficiencies from functional voice disorders, with a special focus on clinical strategies and case-based examples relevant to singers. Her expertise and engaging presentation enriched the understanding of both students and faculty members on the nuanced care singers require in a clinical setting. |
