EVERY DAY A VOICE (Phyland, 2026)
Every day is a voice day…
for work and for art,
for speaking, singing
and being heard.
On April 16, we listen wider: to the bright, the fragile, the fierce, the different
a chorus of colours crossing oceans,
each voice carrying a world.
We tend them like living instruments:
kept supple, not strained,
used with care, not worn thin.
We speak to connect, not to divide,
to reach, not to drown out
and we remember, with quiet gratitude,
that our voices can also be our votes.

| Details of your World Voice Day Event | Onze stem is zoveel meer dan een communicatiemiddel. Ze beïnvloedt hoe we onszelf presenteren én hoe we door anderen worden gezien. Maar wat als je meent dat jouw stem niet overeenstemt met jouw identiteit. 🎤 Naar aanleiding van de Werelddag van de Stem nodigt Gentse stemmen, een samenwerking tussen A.Z. Jan Palfijn, A.Z. Maria Middelares, HOGENT en Arteveldehogeschool, je van harte uit voor het avondsymposium ‘What’s in a voice? Stem en identiteit’. Dit symposium op woensdag 22 april, verkent de fascinerende relatie tussen stem, gender, identiteit en persoonlijkheid. 🎙️Prof. dr. Evelien D’haeseleer (UGent, UZ Gent) neemt ons mee in vocale congruentie bij trans- en genderdiverse personen 👥 Voor iedereen die interesse heeft in stem, identiteit, gender, communicatie of therapie. Aanvullend op het avondsymposium geeft Elisabeth Ebbink op donderdag 23 april een workshop ‘De magie van je stem’. |
