EVERY DAY A VOICE (Phyland, 2026)
Every day is a voice day…
for work and for art,
for speaking, singing
and being heard.

On April 16, we listen wider: to the bright, the fragile, the fierce, the different
a chorus of colours crossing oceans,
each voice carrying a world.

We tend them like living instruments:
kept supple, not strained,
used with care, not worn thin.

We speak to connect, not to divide,
to reach, not to drown out
and we remember, with quiet gratitude,
that our voices can also be our votes.

Join me for a free online class on Thursday April 16th at Noon Eastern – with a 5 day replay.
The theme of World Voice Day this year is Caring for our Voices. I can’t think of a better way to care for your voice, than by addressing your entire instrument!
In this class we will move and breathe and explore how warming up the body helps the voice to function with greater ease.
Here’s how it works –
You:
✅ Show up on line dressed to move, with a vocalise or a phrase from a song you are working on.
🎶 Sing that phrase or vocalise (everyone will be muted so only you will hear yourself)
Me:👯 I’ll lead the group through some positional breath work and ways of moving to create connection from the throat all the way to the pelvic floor and down to the feet.
You:
🎶 Re-sing your vocalise or phrase and see what you notice that is different!
It sounds simple, and it is in a way, but this work is powerful and impactful, and let’s face it, no one ever taught you this stuff while you were getting your degree!
