EVERY DAY A VOICE (Phyland, 2026)
Every day is a voice day…
for work and for art,
for speaking, singing
and being heard.

On April 16, we listen wider: to the bright, the fragile, the fierce, the different
a chorus of colours crossing oceans,
each voice carrying a world.

We tend them like living instruments:
kept supple, not strained,
used with care, not worn thin.

We speak to connect, not to divide,
to reach, not to drown out
and we remember, with quiet gratitude,
that our voices can also be our votes.

Details of your World Voice Day Event

On April 16th, in celebration of World Voice Day, the Centro de Estudos da Voz – CEV, proudly highlights its traditional event, A Voz do CEV (The CEV’s Voice), held earlier that week.

A Voz do CEV is an established annual meeting dedicated to advancing knowledge and clinical excellence in the field of voice. Each edition brings together leading professionals to share evidence-based practices, clinical experiences, and emerging perspectives in voice science and care.

In 2026, the event revisited one of its most valued themes: The Best I Have Seen and Heard: Clinical Challenges, coordenated by Mara Behlau, PhD and Juliana Benatti, MSc. Renowned specialists were invited to present and discuss complex cases from their clinical practice, fostering critical thinking and promoting high-level scientific exchange among participants.

This year’s edition also strengthened its academic outreach, with the participation of 35 partner universities. Through this collaboration, 140 undergraduate students from across Brazil were granted full access to the event, reinforcing CEV’s commitment to education, inclusion, and the development of future professionals in the field.

Additionally, complimentary access to the event was granted to 122 postgraduate students at CEV, while 129 speech-language pathologists registered for the course, resulting in a total of 391 participants.

As part of its tradition, the event also honors a distinguished public figure whose trajectory reflects the transformative power of voice. The 2026 recipient of the Voz é Vida: Uma Vida Pela Voz – Voice is Life: A Lifetime for Voice – award was Patrícia Abravanel, recognized for her communicative excellence and her significant contribution to Brazilian media.

In alignment with its social responsibility values, all proceeds from event registrations were donated to Rede do Abraço (The Hug Network), an institution dedicated to promoting inclusion and improving quality of life for individuals with disabilities.
A Voz do CEV reflects the institution’s core mission: to impact society through knowledge, vocal health, and social commitment.
