EVERY DAY A VOICE (Phyland, 2026)
Every day is a voice day…
for work and for art,
for speaking, singing
and being heard.

On April 16, we listen wider: to the bright, the fragile, the fierce, the different
a chorus of colours crossing oceans,
each voice carrying a world.

We tend them like living instruments:
kept supple, not strained,
used with care, not worn thin.

We speak to connect, not to divide,
to reach, not to drown out
and we remember, with quiet gratitude,
that our voices can also be our votes.

World Voice Day 2026: Chinese Association of Art Medicine in Action
—The 24th World Voice Day Series Events Conclude Successfully: Integration of Art and Medicine Safeguards National Voice Health
April 16, 2026 marked the 24th “World Voice Day”. Leveraging its strengths in industrial resource linkage and commitment to the “Four Services”, the Chinese Association of Art Medicine planned extensively and mobilized widely. From mid-March to mid-April, the Association organized 16 diverse and informative public welfare activities, reaching more than 10,000 audiences both online and offline. Practicing the concept of “scientific voice care and integration of art and medicine” with concrete actions, the events have garnered extensive social repercussions.
1. High-Level Coordination Builds a Multi-Dimensional Communication Matrix
Led by President Li Gelin as the overall convener, the event integrated core expert resources of the Association, forming a three-level organizational system of “president taking the lead, council members coordinating, and members participating”. The activities covered five major categories: public welfare lectures, expert live streams, on-site free clinics, media science popularization, and academic exchanges, achieving all-round coverage through “traditional media + new media”, “online + offline”, and “professional + public” channels. Mainstream media including CCTV Comprehensive Channel, CNR.cn, and Xiamen Daily participated extensively. Meanwhile, various institutions of the Association released content simultaneously through their official WeChat Channels and Official Accounts, establishing a three-dimensional communication network.
2. Targeted Strategies Deliver Precise Services to Diverse Groups
Tailored science popularization strategies were implemented to meet the voice use needs of different professions:
Serving art practitioners: Council Member Zhang Haojie and his team delivered a lecture on “Integrated Application of Voice Rehabilitation Techniques and Artistic Voice Training” for vocal music teachers, exploring scientific approaches to artistic voice protection. Council Member Qu Ge gave a special presentation on “Opera Voice Production Principles and Voice Health”, safeguarding the “golden voices” of inheritors of traditional arts. The Association also held the seminar “Endless Voice, Dialogue Between Art and Medicine” at Beijing Contemporary Music Academy, with over 200 teachers and students participating in interactive sessions.
Serving professional voice users: Council Member Du Shiwu customized voice protection lectures for scripture chanters and community residents. Council Member Zhuang Peiyun contributed continuously to Xiamen Daily, warning that “speaking too hastily and rapidly may damage the throat” and reminding working populations to pay attention to voice health through real cases. Council Member Chen Ting shared a series of voice care science popularization videos for performing artists via WeChat Channel, disseminating voice health knowledge.
Serving the general public: Vice President Huang Yongwang and Council Member Fu Dehui held free clinics, receiving over 50 consulting residents. Director Xuemei Chen and her team provided free voice function assessments and throat examinations, bringing professional services to the public. Council Member Shan Chunguang actively participated in various themed promotions, delivering science popularization lectures and on-site free clinics via Hebei Radio and Television’s program “Famous Doctors Are Here”. Focusing on scientific vocalization, prevention of voice disorders, and daily care, he promoted the concept of caring for voice health among the public.
3. Integration of Art and Medicine Highlights Professional Brand Characteristics
Centering on its professional positioning of “art medicine”, the Association promoted in-depth dialogue between medicine and art. President Li Gelin, Executive Council Member Yan Yan, and Vice President Huang Yongwang jointly hosted a public welfare live stream titled “Integrating Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine to Build the First Line of Defense for Throat Health”, combining the advantages of TCM and Western medicine to call on the public to focus on throat health. Council Member Mei Xiangsheng was invited to live streams on CNR.cn and CCTV’s program Life Circle, with themes of “Don’t Ignore Hoarseness” and “Scientific Voice Use for a Pleasant Voice”. Council Member Wang Yan participated in the theme “Voice and Mental Health: Exploring Natural Beauty in Singing and Performance”, translating professional medical knowledge into easy-to-understand and practical voice care guidelines for the public.
4. Remarkable Achievements Boost Growing Social Influence
The series of events realized four improvements: Enhanced public awareness: Popularizing scientific voice care knowledge through 16 events and strengthening national voice health consciousness. Elevated association visibility: Expanding industrial brand influence through authoritative platforms such as CCTV and CNR.cn. Improved social reputation: Fulfilling social responsibilities with public welfare spirit and demonstrating the commitment of medical professionals. Strengthened team cohesion: Enhancing centripetal force of all members through collaborative efforts and promoting the standardized and sound development of the Association.
Taking this event as an opportunity, the Chinese Association of Art Medicine will continue to deepen the characteristic development path of “integration of art and medicine”, making new and greater contributions to safeguarding national voice health and advancing the high-quality development of the art medicine cause.
