The rapid rise of technological advancements in laryngeal imaging and acoustic and aerodynamic assessment has allowed clinicians treating voice and swallowing disorders to diagnose and treat more patients than ever before. However, a strong fund of knowledge is necessary to be able to take advantage of the wealth of diagnostic information provided by this 21st century technology to deliver treatment. This course aims to provide speech pathologists and other voice clinicians a comprehensive overview of diagnosis and management of primarily voice disorders within the multidisciplinary framework of a modern voice and swallowing center. Our speakers will cover a wide variety of topics with specific focus on behavioral therapy of voice disorders and chronic cough treatment, and evaluation of the aging voice, which has particular relevance in today's world.
