To mark World Voice Day 2025, the Department of Laryngology at Beijing Tongren Hospital, Capital Medical University, released a public health article focused on vocal fold leukoplakia—an early warning sign of possible laryngeal cancer. Aimed at high-risk groups such as smokers, voice professionals, and patients with laryngopharyngeal reflux, the article explains the nature of leukoplakia, early symptoms, treatment options, and the importance of voice protection. It also promotes timely medical consultation when hoarseness persists. The campaign raises public awareness about voice-related precancerous conditions and highlights the role of early diagnosis and prevention.
