Vocal Screening for telephone operators working in Unidade Local de Saúde de São João. The screening included a detailled history of vocal abuse and vocal care, laryngeal examination and acoustic examination. Furthermore, to raise awareness on vocal care, we have distributed flyers with vocal hygiene indications and lectured on tips for vocal care and vocal warmup before work. Any vocal pathology identified was addressed and oriented according to the most appropiate treatment.
This event was organized byt the Otorhinolaryngology Department of Unidade Local de Saúde de São João, with the help of Dr. Ricardo Vaz, Dr. João Viana Pinto, Speech Pathologist Helena Vilarinho and speech pathology students Fabiana Cruz and Joana Amaro.
