The characteristics of voice and speech are integral parts of each individual's identity and directly influence communication style. Speech and voice impairments are symptoms of Parkinson's disease, diagnosed and treated by speech therapists. The goal of treatment is to improve speech clarity, voice quality, and communication. What is the best treatment? The most suitable? According to which criteria are treatments chosen? And who decides? In the workshop, we will explore therapy methods for speech and voice specifically designed for individuals with Parkinson's. We will examine the differences between them, identify the communication needs addressed by different treatments, and discuss questions related to speech therapy. The workshop is intended for people with Parkinson's, family and friends, professionals, and anyone interested in speech therapy.
