As a combined commemoration of World Voice Day and Parkinson's Disease Awareness Day, a free assessment camp was organised at the BV(DU) School of Audiology and Speech Language Pathology, Pune. The camp consisted of an assessment protocol comprising of an Oral Peripheral Mechanism Examination, Swallowing assessment, perceptual voice assessment using CAPE-V, articulation assessment using a picture description task, and language and cognition assessment using MoCA. Those who registered for and attended the camp were given a detailed report of the assessment along with a handout consisting of tips for intelligible speech, safe swallowing and simple cognitive exercises. They were informed about the availability of therapy at the clinic for further follow up.
