An online series on ‘Perspectives in the Care of Transgender Voice’ was jointly organized by the Department of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology, National Institute of Speech and Hearing, and Sri Ramachandra Faculty of Audiology & Speech Language Pathology, Sri Ramachandra Institute of Higher Education and Research (DU). The sessions conducted were :
1) Understanding gender affirmation on 18-04-2024 by Dr. Suja P. Sukumar, Endocrinologist, Establisher of the first private Multidisciplinary Transgender clinic in Kerala
2) Surgical management of Trans gender voice on 04-05-2024 by Dr. Jayakumar R. Menon, Senior Consultant and Director, Dr. Jaykumar’s Laryngology group
3) It’s not just Vocal pitch… There’s more to ‘ Sound like a man or woman’ on 11-05-2024 by Prof. Prakash Boominathan, Ph.D. Principal, Sri Ramachandra Faculty of Audiology and Speech Language Pathology, Chennai
